3D visualisation in Carnuntum

The Archaeological Park of Carnuntum is one of the most important Roman sites in Europe. Its archaeological landscape of more than 10 km2 has been subject matter for decades. More recently an extensive geophysical prospection project has been carried out with the aim of mapping the unearthed archaeological remains of this Roman town. With this information, it has been possible to 3D reconstruct all this archaeological landscape both as a general point and in detail.

For years, and in collaboration with 7reasons Medien GmbH, we have produced many 3D reconstructions of this archaeological site which have been used to generate 2D infographics, onsite panels, animations, 3D printed models and Virtual and Augmented Reality experiences.
